- SUMMARY:”Jerri Blank (Amy Sedaris) is a 47-year-old former jailbird, recovering heroin addict, and ex-prostitute with a bemused, elastic face. Director Paul Dinello takes a skip back in time, essentially making this a prequel to the television show, with Jerri fresh out of jail at the start of the film and starting a new life as an over-age high school student. With Jerri’s dad in a coma, she decides she has to excel in school in a desperate bid to awaken him, although Principal Blackman (Gregory Hollimon) and science teacher Mr. Noblet (Stephen Colbert) frequently throw curveballs in her path.”

8pm — EVERY FRIDAY in November

- WHERE:Galapagos, 70 North 6th St, between Kent and Wythe, Williamsburg
- COST:$10 in advance, $12 at door
- SUMMARY:”"Little Building” is a full-on musical about a building that falls in love with a real estate developer. It features anthropomorphic buildings and factories, plus Jessica Delfino as an airport. It is obviously funny and absurd, but at its heart it is a real love story, with musical arrangements worthy of loathsome Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber (strings and oboes abound!) Plus, it is the first and probably only musical to delve into the subject of real estate, something I have some experience with from working as a real estate agent in Williamsburg (if you like the play, then we’ll talk afterwards and maybe I can also help you find a new place to live).”
