    Way More West: The Poems of Ed Dorn

    • SUMMARY:”A reading to mark the publication of Way More West: New and Selected Poems by Edward Dorn. Dorn was author of numerous books, including the comic-epic masterpiece Gunslinger. At the core of all of Dorn’s work is a deep sense of place and the people who occupy it, underpinned by a wry ironic dissent. Reading Dorn’s work will be Jennifer Dorn, Michael Rothenberg, Amiri Baraka, Anne Waldman, Ed Sanders, Ammiel Alcalay, George Kimball, Rosalie Sorrels and Anselm Berrigan.”

    • SUMMARY: “You are invited to participate in the first ever Annual Spring Cupcake Cookoff:
      Categories:

      • * Pure and Simple: Basic flavors and construction: think vanilla, think chocolate, think simple and delicious
        * Additions: Here’s where carrot cake gets its due: any cupcake with fillings or nuts or chips or anything else
        * Decorator’s Delight: Go crazy! Points for creativity and appearance

    • SUMMARY: “Several artist, students and professors from Pratt Institute will be printing large 4 foot by 8 foot woodblock prints with a steamroller. That’s right a giant street flattening heavy man driven steamroller. This will be the third year of the event that was conceived by artist and professor Dennis McNett. This year will include over 40 different blocks by 40 different artists, live music, on site t-shirt printing, print sales and more.”
