PLACE:Flux Factory, 38-38 43rd St, Long Island City - SUMMARY:”Flux Factory has invited artists from around the world to create their own response to Troy [Hurtubise]’s body of work and life’s ambition [and his quest to create a grizzly-proof suit]. Artists were asked to take on the age-old theme of human-versus-nature, the conflicting desire to understand the natural and to commune with it, and the need to control its cruelest aspects.”
For the closing party on April 12th: “Please note, this party is not just any closing party. You can: 1) wear a bear suit, hat, or shirt (as well you should) 2) bring a bear or 3) bring your mom” - RELATED:
