- SUMMARY: “Taliah Lempert is a fixture in New York City’s Cycling community. As an artist with a passion for painting bicycles, she has built a unique body of work. Equally unique is the way in which she has pursued her career, having circumvented the gallery system by selling and promoting her work on www.bicyclepaintings.com as well as advertising in bike shops throughout the five boroughs. In a few years, Taliah has done for bikes what Wayne Thiebaud did for dessert – painting the subject in order to have us reconsider the beauty in the everyday. Taliah has been painting bicycles of all speeds and sizes for a decade, and her compositions have been displayed in numerous shows and in various publications.”
