      COST:$12
    • SUMMARY:”This May, ReddMask Theater Company launches An Assembly of Quotable Gents, a festival of three original one-act plays that celebrate New York City’s infamous saloon life. From Jackson Pollock getting sloshed with the art world at Cedar Tavern to the notorious McGurk’s Suicide Hall, Assembly dramatizes legendary tales from the city’s underbelly and appropriately returns them to their original setting – the city bar.

Jackson Pollock never met a bar he didn’t like, but one that always found a place in his heart, was the Cedar Tavern. Home to some of the country’s most celebrated modern artists, the Cedar Tavern became a pantheon for the wild and dangerous displays that gave the tortured artist his reputation for living out of control.”
